Hej! I was blown away by the incredible food scene in Stockholm! Every restaurant I visited had a fantastic atmosphere, delicious dishes, and top-notch service. One of the things I loved most was the convenience of finding great food late at night. Unlike the UK, where last orders are typically around 10 PM, Stockholm’s restaurants often stay open well into the evening.

I’m not typically a salad enthusiast, but their green leaf salad was a standout. Additionally, the ricotta babette and straciatella pizza were so delicious that it left me wanting more. If you’re seeking a casual yet sophisticated dining experience for dinner with top-notch food and a lively atmosphere, Babette is definitely worth a visit.

Overview
While not a well-known spot among locals, Solen, located just outside Stockholm in the former meat packing district, is a hidden gem that shouldn’t be overlooked. Despite initial skepticism from friends, I’m so glad I persisted. The food, atmosphere, and service were absolutely outstanding. Start your meal with their delicious hummus served with warm, fluffy bread. The prosciutto cotto pizza and house-made orchettie were both exceptional, but the pistachio tiramisu was the real showstopper.

Pair your wine with some great snacks (like the chorizo and mortadella) and pastas; the cacio e pepe was a standout for me! Grab a seat at the counter or be sure to make a reservation in advance as Café Nizza sure is popular with the locals.

While my experience was decent, I found the food to be more reliable than exceptional.
