Overview

Tucked away on a quaint Bologna side street, Aroma is a charming little coffee shop with a loyal following. A local institution, it’s been serving up specialty coffee for years. The place is often buzzing with tourists soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying their caffeine fix. While I opted for a classic cappuccino, the coffee cocktails on offer certainly piqued my interest and seemed to be a local favourite.

Pappare’ is a bustling coffee shop and bistro renowned for its impressive range of croissants. I couldn’t resist trying the black croissant filled with cream, and it was an absolute dream. If you’re looking for a delicious start to your day, be sure to check out their breakfast menu – it’s apparently a local favourite.

Overview

With sky-high expectations after countless local recommendations, I stepped into Terzi, a coffee shop steeped in the historic charm of Bologna. The interior was indeed stunning, a testament to the city’s rich history. However, the coffee was a stark disappointment. From the flat white to the espresso, nothing lived up to the hype, leaving most of the drinks sadly unfinished.

Overview

Evolving from a bakery to a pizza joint and now a specialty coffee spot, this bistro is a must-visit for any foodie. While the cortado was an interesting twist on the classic, with its unique blended texture, the exceptional cappuccino has me eager to return and sample their pizzas and bread.

Overview

A 30-minute wait is no small feat, but trust me, this coffee shop is worth it. Serving up Bologna’s best specialty coffee, this place is all about that modern coffee vibe and is a must-try for any coffee lover. Their cream-filled croissants are equally divine. This charming spot effortlessly transitions from a cozy neighbourhood bakery by day to a sophisticated cocktail bar as the sun dips below the horizon. Don’t miss out!

I stumbled upon Lampadina while wandering Bologna’s charming streets and decided to give it a try. The coffee was nothing special, but their lampuccino is worth a shot. It’s a regular cappuccino with a different flavour twist every month. A fun way to mix things up!
